Gaden Relief Projects

Dear Dharma friends,

I would like to let you know that the eye camp in Zadoh, Tibet, was successful. The Seva eye camp began on 13th September. Seva eye service doctors perfomed eye surgery on 145 people and checked eye conditions for 600 people. Many of the people received eye glasses according my brother Jamdak and Dr. Laydar. This is the first time an eye camp has ever happened in Zadoh. The Jamseng Health Care Committee and Zadoh officals working together with the Seva organization offered medicine, accommodations so on. Eye surgery was free and effective especially for cataracts. Seva also offered money to bring two truck loads of blind people from Damzung and Mukzung. I suggested that Gaden Relief in Toronto should pay to bring one truckload of blind people from Hungsey and Dakdu. Travel time from this locations to Zadoh city is about 15 to 20 hours by truck.

I would like to say that our trip to Zadoh this summer was very successful. The people of Zadoh are grateful, and I thank the Seva eye service and the eye doctors such as Dr. Chondak Tenzing so much.
